Thus we will never go back to what was normal. Just as Tractors, Trains and Airplanes changed the way people moved around, by walking and using the horse before, technology is now changing the Retail business of the world.
In the USA for example the train?s moved the goods from the ports to Chicago, where those goods were sorted for retail stores and moved on out by truck to the stores.? Big shopping centers were built for the people to look around and to buy by sight what they wanted.
These days those Shopping centers are going broke and the stores bankrupt.? In my opinion one won?t see stores like Sears, JC Pennies, Best Buy as well as other stores in the next 10 or 20 years.? The reason is simple and that is called technology and the internet.? Amazon for example doesn?t move its merchandise to Chicago for distribution but much closer to the ports however, a bit away from there, like Phoenix AZ.
That internet access, searching and buying will simply increase in outfits like Amazon, eBay as well as others and more and more shopping centers and walk-in retail stores will be going broke.? Therefore less jobs in retail stores, less jobs in the distribution centers like Chicago as well as those trains there will be a reduction across the board.
In other words there is not going to be any ?normal? top go back to, just as the trains took the jobs away from the horse and buggy makers and haulers.
There will still be jobs mowing lawns but Mexican labor is still cheap, as well as all the trades, however, many jobs will never come back at all.? Get used to it is all I can say.? Technology changes in the sixties to use computer programs to manufacture things are still running today and do not need to be re-done either.? Therefore the internet application or ape as the kids like to say will also go down that road in the future, and when excellent will never need to be re-done either.? I would suggest that one get used to these events and deal with the reality that driving a truck for FedEx ain?t a bad job after all.
